Three days on Solovki Islands
The 1st day

Meeting with the guide at the pier or at the airport.
Transfer by bus to the hotel, check-in and lunch in the hotel.
Walking tour around the monastery, excursion "History and architecture
of the Solovki monastery" with the visit of churches, Refectory
chamber, Cloister cells, fortress towers and gallery, from where
is opened wonderful panorama to the covered with forest tracts hills,
arising above the lake basins and the sea molded edges. Visit of
the complex exposure of Solovki State Museum Reserve.
Dinner in the hotel.
The 2nd day
Breakfast in the hotel.
Multi-hour boat tour to the country of lakes connected by hand-made
channels into the general hydraulic engineering system. High sky,
overturned into the mirrors of lakes, interrupted by forests, medium-dry
swamps and florescent meadows - this is only the part, by which
natural peace of Solovki meets the man.
The tour is accompanied by the guide. Guests are invited to take
seats in rowboats for 4-6 persons in each.
Picnic lunch by a campfire at the coast of a lake ("ukha"-soup
from fresh fish, a barbecue, tea from "samovar" with northern
herbs).
Bus excursion to the minor-monastery on Sekirnaya Mountain with
Assumption Church, the highest light-house of the White Sea and
wooden Memorable cross put by Patriarch Alex II. A view from the
top of the Sekirnaya Mountain should be photographed.
Excursion to the Botanical garden - one of the most northern botanical
gardens in Russia. You will be impressed by the extraordinary collection
of plants and the surprising durability of brittle Solovki flora,
which "lives" among wild stones.

The 3rd day
Breakfast. Check-out time.
3 hour sea tour to the Big Zayatsky Island - the most prohibited
territory of archipelago. The sea is the element of the flying winds
and waves. You can perceive the coolness of the Russian Northeven
in summer time. Island itself will make it possible to feel the
special heat of the affectionate northern sun, to estimate the restrained
tender paints of surrounding nature. Excursion includes story about
surprising nature of the island, visiting of the first in Russia
stone harbor of XVI century, St. Andrei's Church erected in 1702
by Peter I, and ancient stone labyrinths of III-II millennium B.C.,
including the world's largest labyrinth.
Lunch in the hotel.
Transfer by bus to the airport or to the pier. Departure from Solovki.
